A Berlin-based dance space where Persian folk and contemporary movement are practiced. We teach, perform, and build a community to preserve Persian dance heritage and bring people together just like a dance circle in Iran would.
Our Classes 2026
Persian Social Dance Class
- Ongoing & monthly
- Open to all levels
- Persian party dance techniques and, every month, learning basics and short dance combos from a folk dance: Bandari, Azeri, Kurdish, Kormanji, etc.
Persian Classic Dance
- Winter Semester: Oct-Nov-Dec
- Open to all levels
- Three months of getting your bodies disciplined with focus on Persian classical dance fundamentals
- A start for those looking to join advanced trainings
Persian Choreography & Improv
- Summer Semester: Aug-Sept
- Open to all levels
- Two months bridging short Persian choreographies with improv.
- A start for those looking to join advanced trainings
Contemporary & Stage Training
- Open to intermediate & advanced levels
- Contemporary & stage performance trainings with roots from Iran & Central Asia
Rahaavi Dance
Rahaavi is a Berlin-based home for Persian dance as a living cultural practice, open to everyone who feels called to move, listen, and belong. At Rahaavi, dance is more than choreography. It is memory carried in the body, and stories passed from generation to generation. For Persian speakers, Rahaavi is a place of cultural continuity, a way to stay connected to roots through music and dance. For non-Iranians, it is an invitation to step into an authentic encounter with Iran’s dance traditions while having the opportunity to develop a contemporary language around them.
