An invitation to a night of remembrance and shared stories

In moments of collective grief, we believe art is not an escape—it is a refuge. It is a way to process the weight we carry and to find the strength to keep moving. We invite you to a night of mystical music, movement, and shared stories. In this event, live Iranian–Mallorcan music by QÂNÂT comes to life on stage alongside performances by Rahaavi Dance Studio.

Dancing Water is a musical and movement-based journey across cultures, where rhythms, poetry, & cultural heritage from Iran, the Mediterranean, and the Balearic Islands intertwine.

QÂNÂT Music

Drawing from deep-rooted oral histories and ancestral sounds, QÂNÂT blends old Balearic work songs with the modal textures of Central Asian music—including influences from Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan, and the ancient region of Khorasan. At the heart of the project is the remarkable melodic kinship between Balearic field songs—once sung during rural labor—and the ancient echoes of Byzantine chant. QÂNÂT bridges these traditions, crafting new musical landscapes through original compositions, instrumental dialogues, and vocal ornamentations that celebrate the shared soul of these distant-yet-connected cultures.

Music members
Pegah Khoei vocals, tar, bendir, daf
Tomeu Gomila vocals, accordion, litophone
José Miguel Puigserver “Puter” double bass, kantele, charango

Rahaavi Dance

Rahaavi is a Berlin-based home for Persian dance as a living cultural practice, open to everyone who feels called to move, listen, and belong. At Rahaavi, dance is more than choreography. It is memory carried in the body, and stories passed from generation to generation. For Persian speakers, Rahaavi is a place of cultural continuity, a way to stay connected to roots through music and dance. For culturally curious non-Iranians, it is an invitation to step into an authentic, respectful encounter with the artistic traditions of Persia.
